Rewind: Sarah, Plain and Tall

During the first six weeks, we read the book, Sarah, Plain and Tall and participated in many activities that helped us to better understand the story. Here's a recap of just a few of the activities we did in class...
We made predictions before reading ahead...

To review the chapters we read, we answered questions around the room using a gallery walk.

We created bubble maps describing Caleb and Anna. After that, we compared and contrasted the characters using a double bubble map.

Students read a chapter, discussed the main idea, and created a title for the chapter!

Patricia MacLachlan didn't include chapter names, so we created our own.

Sarah cooked stew in the story. Mr. Patten cooked stew for us!
Yum!

What was your favorite Sarah, Plain and Tall activity?
